Jolas & Associates, LLP SCAM SCAM SCAM - To think the money we make - they take and take and take more Mason City, Iowa

I only found out today, that Jolas & Associates, a company I paid several hundred dollars to was a scam.  I remember having a conversation with a girl at Jolas & Associates, she was yellling on the phone, telling me I needed to pay up this debt, at the time was $1000.00.  That why couldnt I borrow the money from my parents to pay this debt.  From my kids or a friend, I could not believe what I was hearing, I had just returned to work after being off for almost 8 months after neck surgery.

I could not afford to give anything, but talk them into 25.00 per week.  They wanted pre-dated checks sent to them, which I did. When I hung up the phone with them a co-worker of mine questioned me as to who was yelling on the other end (the whole office heard).  Luckily, I guess, I closed that account and didnt hear anymore.  Today after finally paying up the account with another agency, I went to the doctors office thinking I had over paid the account and that is when I found out Jolas & Associates was never their collection agency.
