Juan Diaz (Boxer from Huston TX) has been contacting spokesmodels for "his" events in the Los Angeles area and to work for him but never pays after the event. He says he will pay cash after "you sign a contract" and that makes the models believe him, therefore you ended attending his event. Because he is a public figure to trusted him. We all 15 models, all in different occasions/dates fell because of that reason, that is is famous.
He says his sponsor is TECATE. That is not true. I made sure before posting this with 2 major agencies who handle TECATE campaigns and he is not part of them AT ALL.
Once you get to the venue he actually doesn't show up with the contract or the money. Before though, he tells you to wait "that is close by" he keeps you there working for the entire event but AGAIN, he never shows up with the contract or the money. This happen to 10 spokesmodels already, so this is his way of working.

Beware of this phrases (collected from the 15 models who lost money and time dealing with him, including me) these phrases are A BIG LIE:
-"I want you to get paid- we pay more that any other agency because I work directly with the sponsor"
-"Do you want a BMW? I can give it to you"
-"I want to hire you for my agency, I will give you a contract for 8 months"
-"I am doing a movie, we only have to record ourselves and I will pay you US$17,000. No taxes taken"
-"Send pictures to Michelle or Linda so I can confirm you for the event, not before-  send a lot of pics"
-"I need to meet you right away (usually at night) I will give you US$100 to meet with me, I want to meet you"
-"For the movie, we really have to get into it, you know what I mean, I want to give good product to  my manager"

Keep in mind:
-He recruits through very unaware volunteers that ALSO GET assured will get paid really good money. Juan Diaz goes personally to malls and invite women to be part of his agency- Using his Public Image to gather models.
-He contacts people via Facebook
-He also uses your photos online 

After you demand you money he lies and lies and lies and calls you 1,000 times to tell you lie after lie, including that " you were not that hot", or that you "were no there" and for that reason you are no getting paid. OR that he had cancelled the event and had called a person (that you don't know) to cancel it, so you should have not showed up, mind you, when you talk to him AT THE EVENT where you are waiting he says he is 5 minutes away... . It is like Juan Diaz got TOO MANY PUNCHES in his head and now is deranged and crazy and forgets his lies. 
Juan Diaz will harass you with phone calls and if you get really mad will agree to pay you. That will send you money via Wester Union or Money Gram, he keeps you waiting day after day and then never does pay you.
After you threat to SUE HIM, he says that you can't because you have no contract. Also said to one of the models that his company has received so many lawsuits that he knows how it goes-he always settles, which of course I believe 10% of that. EVERY SINGLE THING JUAN DIAZ SAYS IS A LIE. He takes up your time, energy and money.

Hope you don't let this happen to you. If he contact you just tell me his a scam and get lost.
