I was called by this company who offered me a page 1 position on google for 30 days, they said i would appear there 24 hours a day 7 days a week and that there was no contract. The salesman was very misleading, firstly posing as google themselves, however upon further questioning he said the company was an authorised partner of google (in actual fact this is a complete lie, the company has no official ties with google). I decided to try the service, but after a week of searching i was still not to be found on the first page. I tried calling my account manager numerous times, to no avail, he was always in a 'meeting' and would return my call. Finally the contacted me and told my my website would be up that day, however when i saw the link it was only a small link on the sponsored ads at the side of the page and not in the 'champagne section' at the top of the page as promised by the pushy salesman. At the end of the month i requested to cancel the service, i was told by the account manager that i'd have to do so in writing and a notice period of 30 days was required, this is not the 30 days trial as they made out on the call. the company held my credit card details and took payment for a further month even though i told them i wanted nothing more to do with their outfit. After doing some due dilligance online i can see im not the only one to be conned by jump up media, this company really is a complete scam selling a product which would cost you around 30 to set up yourself for a highly inflated fee with a hidden contract.
