 I had hired Moving Stars for a move in May 2014 in their Orange County branch to move a one bedroom apartment.  In the previous year, I had hired a separate moving company who completed my entire move from approximately the same distance with two men and 3 1/2 hours.  (Costa Mesa Moving Company, they are amazing...hire them instead)

The two movers complained the entire move and several times I had to go and look for them because they would disappear.  By the time they reached my new apartment to unload, over 6 hours had lapsed and I told the movers to leave (my apartment consisted of one couch, a bed, entertainmnet stand and two dressers (tiny)  They didn't even pack my whole apartment and left my entire kitchen/wardrobes and wall decor behind.  The movers in the previous year had packed my whole apartment and reassembled all my furniture in half the time.  Moving Stars left most my furniture still in wrappings and not assembled.  I spent the majority of my night assembling and finishing the move only to discover they damaged all of my furniture and did not say antyhing to me!  They scratched up my headboards to my bed and dragged furniture across my new wood floors leaving deep scratches and stripped the screws in my bed from taking apart.  My dressers and bed had dings and scratches all over.  They hadn't wrapped these items.  My brand new home theater system would not play sound and there was a large tear in my sofa cushion.  They also stole the old keys to my previous apartment and would not return.  I immediately called the office and sent multiple requests to return my calls and e-mails.  Absolutely no follow up!  Three months later, I received one e-mail from Jesse Gorman indicating they would be in contact but nothing following.  That was a month ago!  I received my credit card statment and was charged over $650 dollars and they added additional fees that I did not recognize.  Upon disputing through my bank, I discovered they hand wrote in adding whatever they wanted to the receipt and was not the receipt I signed (frauds) 

Beware that this company is inefficient, unethical and overcharged for services NOT provided.  If anything happens to your furniture, management will completely ignore you.  I  am going through a fraud case with my bank and will need to move forward with small claims.  I hope I can save someone else from the headache, DO NOT use this company!
