Klebs Mechanical weathly owner Gary Klebs pays his employees well below area standard wages while charging one of the highest rates for HVAC service in Anchorage Alaska.
Klebs claimed in the April 2004 issue of the Alaska Business Monthly that he had gross revenues of 7.3 million and projected a 5% increase in 2004.
This then is the question. With a supposed lucrative business and great success, why does the management of Klebs Mechanical feel they cannot pay a fair compensation to their workers out of their generous profit margin instead of passing the cost on to the consumer?
Here is the ripoff! Not only does Klebs charge high rates for services, they encourage the employee to sell parts to the consumer for a small commission from the company while Klebs pockets the rest. No wonder he has such high gross revenues.
Why should consumers have to make up wages not paid to an employee when a contractor is so successful?

this is a late rebuttal, because I just know past by this web sight while searching for information.
as a Klebs employee for over 9 years working in the service department I have never recieved or do I ever remember the topic ever being suggested that commissions are paid to sell parts or any repair service.
As far the pay I feel I am treated good and paid fair. Klebs offers it employees a little more every year it seems like.
