Launch Local, that was just Axiom Advertising is the biggest scam in the world! They lie to every upcoming college grad making them feel special when they lie straight to your face about every detail of the company!
I wasted my time applying and going on the second interview. They suck you right in and lie!!! So here are the truthful, lies in order.
Lie #1 - "We are a marketing firm/advertising agency"
Lie!!!! These people create and sell program incentives. Better yet, the clients don't pay for the services? So how is management making all the money? Where is the money coming from? They don't do actual marketing campaigns! No press releases, promotional activities, events, nothing. It's the type of people where they sell "I can get you a really good deal for $40.00 valued at $240.00".
Lie #2- "We have multiple positions open"
Complete lie!!!!! The human resource manager, Tracy, who is a mother, lied to me over the phone and said we have a public relations position open, marketing and customer service. Lie. All people start as sales rep. Thats it. They call that the "PR team" Public relations isn't sales! Two different fields idiots!!
Lie #3- "Full time employees get full benefits and salary"
Lie. Tracy told me over the phone they offer benefits to full time employees. You don't recieve benefits until you're in management. In the real world, that does not happen! It's not salary based or commission. You make money if you sell the incentives. If you don't, then you don't have any money! They also pay cash! IN the real world, it's a bi-weekly or weekly check!
You make 10.00 per incentive you sell. You also have to travel to area to sell. They don't pay for gas or anything. It's not a career or even job! Any bum on the street will be hired! They suck you right in and make you feel special, asking you "smart" questions especially if you're a college grad. Anybody gets hired!
Watch out for Linda! She's a manager who acts like she is so smart and makes you feel like you're special for Launch Local. However, she is lazy and does not do a d**n thing at work. She also makes ten dollars an incentive sold. But wait, remind yourself that she isn't selling anything!!! She makes all the money for no reason!! Scam!!
Linda also told one of her employees that trained me on the day I was on my stupid second interview that it's paid training. Lie. She told her that she would make $800.00 in two weeks. However, she sold plenty of promotional incentives and used that against her. Therefore, if she sold 40, she only made $400.00 instead of $800.00! So rude.
Launch Local sucks. They lie to people, grown women who lie! Don't apply there, don't waste your time. I went on the second interview and wasted my whole day. I found out that all you do is go business to business selling stupid promotional incentives without an hourly wage or salary! NO benefits! no gas card! nothing! lie after lie! not worth it!
I can honestly say I hope Launch local aka the old Axiom Advertising fails. I hope they get caught for what they do to people! Please do me a favor, and don't apply there, especially college grads!

I agree. Lady on phone named patty lied to me when I asked repeatedly if this was a salaried position in PR and she said yes. You shouldn't lie just to get people in the door. Someone needs to sell her for 40cents on the dollar.

Not all that bad

My version of the job.
Had a brief first day interview, the boss, a somewhat attractive older woman, was kind of odd but I figured I would try the job.
The next day you arrive, it is a full day of observing a contractor, who is attempting to make business to business sales (to the employees of the business). He made a decent amount of sales so I figured I`d try the job.
Typical day:
7am show up for a brainwashing type session (which I hated), where you are motivated (even though you are supposed to be self motivated) and you practice your sales pitch over and over (actually did find this to be useful, could really be done in the field IMO).
around 830 go to your territory for your promotion, stay until usually around 5 pm (depending on your cutoff time for the day)
get back to office 530-6ish where you break your day down (+s,-s) and are paid.
Cons: 1. they expect you to work "optional" Saturdays (which I didnt even find out they were open Saturday until after I agreed to be a contractor, I never did though)
2. skipping lunch is somewhat encouraged (although I never did and most people didnt)
3. sent into hard sell areas quite often (i.e. pushing an upscale restaurant in a poor area)
4. cult like atmosphere in the office (this bothered me the most, didnt like when anything was questioned)
5. actual days where you may lose money because of travel gas etc b/c you didnt sell enough to cover the expenses (really didnt bother me that much)
6. normally had to work with someone else (sometimes felt like you were being watched)
7. "policies" seemed to clashed with one another quite often or were in general flawed (i.e. think every consumer is equally likely to buy the promotion without regards to anything else)
8. 9-5 work is degraded (even though most of the people there wouldnt get hired at a normal job)
Pros: 1. day went super fast
2. paid every day in cash
3. quick opportunities for advancement
4. easy "sell" meaning the product was a great deal if a customer had a use for it
5. other contractors were pretty helpful
This is a long day, and the possibility of making over 120 dollars or so is pretty slim. I would say only take this job if you are willing to go "allin", its not a scam, you actually do learn a lot, and they are fairly leinent with leaving early and things like that. Ultimately, I didnt think it was enough money to justify all the travel and long hours.

I can back up what the original reports claims. Also look up Axiom Advertising for a similar report. Appearently there business practives caught up to them and a name change was necessary. I suppose it is important to note that for the most part the actual products that they offer are legitimate coupons for things(at least to my knowledge of the last time I dealt with them). The scam is on the employment side. Their employees are treated terribly. In fact I saw the owner at walmart purchasing a tv as an incentive for " the idiots" to sell. Not enough for you? Well her plan was to keep the new tv and swap a older one in the new box.
