What a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
Let's start off with the fact that Randall Isenberg and his entire firm have ZERO communication skills! It was IMPOSSIBLE to EVER get ahold of Randall when I needed him. But the problem didn't stop there, their lack of communication bled into my court scheduling as well! They NEVER informed me of a court date which subsequently led to a warrant for my arrest! That’s right, I had to go BACK TO JAIL because Randall didn't inform me of my own court date! I had to take off from work to book into jail because I paid my incompetent attorney $10,000 to help me!
Moving forward, after I got out of jail due to Mr. Isenberg's aforementioned negligence, I continued to pay him $1,000 per month CASH. Stupid me. When we got to our final court date I was literally at my wit's end. At that point I didn't care what the outcome was. I just wanted it over with and I wanted to wash my hands of this joke of an attorney I mistakenly chose. We were preparing to take a "deal" where I would do a 55 day work release. Ok fine. As I was preparing myself to take the deal Randall informed me that he cut a new "GREAT DEAL" for me! He said instead of doing 55 days’ work release, I could book myself into jail that SECOND (NO time to go home, change, make any calls, let anyone know, make any arrangements, etc.) and I would only do 7 days in jail total. That sounded awesome to me, I reconfirmed with Randall that I would only do 7 days to which he said "that's the deal" He also told me that I could QUIT GOING to my DUI classes that I needed because turning myself in now meant I'd be done with all requirements...so here I go to jail....
Cut to one week later. My father comes to visit me in jail (how wonderful right?) and tells me that Isenberg messed up! He didn't stay with me to read the papers he had me sign and HE DIDN'T READ THEM HIMSELF!" So that mean's Im staying in for not a week....BUT A MONTH!!!! Needless to say I was a little more that furious! We're talking a month, I had plans, I had a job, I had rent, bills, commitments, etc. But does Randall care about that? No, he cares about that $1000/month thought, because as SOON as I got out of jail, charged my cell and checked my voicemail, I had 8 messages from his office informing me that I still owe a final $500 to him!!!!!
I went up to Isenberg's office the very next day. 10lbs lighter from the month long jail stint thanks to him, looking for some kind of empathy for what he had done to me. Do you think I got any compassion? Of course not. Isenberg rein formed me that he'll be needing that $500 otherwise he won't finalize my other papers. WOW! I was literally in tears. Not because I didn’t have the money, that was the least of my worries. But because someone that has your livelihood in their hands can be so cold, calculated, heartless, and evil. I left more upset than I came and I never saw that MONSTER again!
To let you know just what a lasting effect this has had on me mentally, I'm still thinking about it 3 YEARS LATER! Couple that with now my license has been suspended because I didn't comply with the necessary DUI classes that Isenberg told me to QUIT GOING TO since I was taking his "deal'!
Please, please do yourself a favor and consider another attorney. The impact this decision has had on me has not only affecting my record forever, but my emotional state and trust in people. If you can't trust that someone you're paying $10,000 will work hard for you, who can you trust?

AUTHOR: The Law Firm of Randall Isenberg - (USA)

Jennifer Morris hired my firm in 2010 after her third arrest for DWI. She had been released from probation for DWI less than six months prior to the 2010 arrest. At that time she was also on felony probation out of Dallas County, which my firm also handled. This client was eager to move to California and did not want to be tied to Texas by probation. She was looking at two years in state jail, which would have to be served day for day, there is no “good time” or early release from state jail. The ultimate result on the felony case was that the motion to revoke, that alleged the commission of a new offense, was withdrawn and our client was continued on deferred adjudication probation. That means that she does not have a felony conviction on her record.
The misdemeanor DWI 2nd case out of Denton County is the case that she served time in the county jail instead of taking a probation offer. We negotiated a jail time recommendation from the state because she did not want to have to do what was required on probation. The maximum on this kind of case is one year in the county jail. Denton County is a different animal than Dallas County. A jail term of 30 days on a DWI 2nd is a very good outcome, if the client does not want to do probation. In Texas, a DWI conviction automatically leads to a driver’s license suspension, unless a state authorized course is completed within the first 180 days of probation. Everyone who does jail time as a punishment for DWI in Texas has a driver’s license suspension. Every DWI 2nd results in a driver’s license suspension, regardless of what classes a defendant takes. Depending on how old the prior conviction is, the defendant may or may not be immediately eligible for an occupational driver’s license.
Finally, this client did not pay me or my firm anywhere near $10,000. That was what was quoted if we had a jury trial on the new DWI case. To represent this client on both her felony probation violation and the DWI 2nd case, she paid around $6,000. Practicing criminal defense law, you are never going to be able to make everyone happy. Nobody ever wants to spend time in jail. Nobody ever wants a conviction. But, sometimes the best case scenario is to get the best possible offer and enter a plea deal. After discussing the wishes of this client, negotiating with the prosecutors in both Denton and Dallas, and relying on my years of experience, I brought the best offer to my client. Ultimately, it was her decision whether or not to accept the plea bargain. My office consists of a receptionist, two legal assistants and three lawyers, we are open Monday through Saturday and our phones are answered 24 hours a day. If anyone, ever, has a question, all they have to do is call the office and we will get back with them, usually within the same day. To say that the communication in my office is lacking, is ridiculous.
I am sorry that this client is unhappy with the amazing results that my firm produced in her difficult cases, but you can’t please everyone. If the cases that I represented this client on were her first, or last, interactions with the criminal justice system I might be better able to understand her anger. However, this was not her first criminal case, nor was it her last. Notwithstanding anything she has said about me, or my firm, I would encourage this individual to seek expunctions of her two aggravated assault cases, and nondisclosures of her obstruction of a highway and her multiple criminal mischief cases.

I did inform this attorney about this report and he called me today. I am going to let him know about this report so that he may have the knowledge and ability to file a rebuttal. Funny - I sent him an email last nite and he CALLED me today.
YOU got a DUI - you could have killed, maimed a person(s) in your idiotic driving. BOO h*o!! You chose to drink (drug) and drive, got caught and what did you expect?? A slap on the wrist?? A room at the Anatole?? IF I choose to drink I stay HOME.
10 pound lighter in a month??? Looking for empathy?? Lawyers are not social workers - You were trying to beat a DUI and it cost you. Learn the lesson and move on. Stop driving under the influence before you kill someone.
