My husband and I fell for this scam on Saturday. A very charming young lady came to our home and said she was a new neighbor and was trying to win points for a soccer championship trip. We fell for her story and ordered a 2-yr subscription (which normally would cost $24) - she charged us $64. Luckily I wrote a check and the second she left, I did my internet research. I issued a stop-pay on the check the same day. The next day, another young lady and a young man came around and stopped again at the house across the street. We phoned our police department and they came within 5 minutes and the two were taken away in handcuffs. I feel sorry for anyone who pays them with cash. We learned our lesson.
