LetsTalk.com has errored by providing the WRONG rebate forms on their website for purchases of Motorola V260 phones purchased between Feb. 18 through August 28 2005. They advertise a $50 rebate per phone and then after purchase link you to the incorrect rebate form, titled "Verizon $50 rebate".

When you go the link, a $50 Mail-In Motorola Rebate Offer appears. THIS REBATE IS ONLY VALID FOR PHONES PURCHASED THROUGH BRIGHTSTAR!!! So, if you submit this rebate, you will recieve a denial from Brightstar stating that the ESN #'s from the phones are not valid. I have purchased 4 Motorola V260 phones, and expected to receive $200 in rebates. NOPE!!!

Brightstar denies them, Motorola and Verizon say it's not their problem, and Lets.Talk won't honor the rebate that THEY advertised and SCREWED UP!!! They did acknowledge, however, that there were many customers who had been denied their rebate, but would not commit to fixing the problem or reimbursing for the rebate. An intentional mistake? Makes you wonder.

I will NEVER do business with this company again. Furthermore, their customer service leaves alot to be desired. They put you on hold forever, then refuse to provide contact info for anyone higher up in the company that might be able to resolve the issue. Very, very dissappointing.

LetsTalk Brightstar rebates

AUTHOR: Lance - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, May 17, 2006

LetsTalk made a mistake by attaching a Brightstar rebate to ~1,500 V260's that we purchased from Brightstar at the unrebated price.

For customer satisfaction purposes, we asked Brightstar to honor the outstanding rebates. We paid them the cost of the rebates to do so, and sent an email to all the affected orders, asking them to resubmit their rebates.

If you still have one of these rebates outstanding, you should still be able to submit it to get your $50.

Our apologies for the mistake, but it was not a deliberate error.
