Living Well Lady Fitness Centers "Club Enhancements" $25 Rip-Off Fee Hialeah Florida

Living Well Lady Fitness Centers is taking advantage of it's members. They conveniently sent a letter dated November 19th notifying members of a charge of $25 for "enhancements" to the fitness center. The letter was not received until December 12th, after the fee was debited from my checking account.

Their membership contract does not disclose that there may be other charges during your membership, other than those you would expect for services like a fitness coach.

The enhancements are made at their discretion and they should not be charged to the members. This fee is their way of getting around the membership contract since it very clearly states the amount of payments and how many payments you have to make during the term of the contract.

How can they be allowed to charge everyone like this? What if they decide they wanted to buy additional property and build tennis courts, would we also have to pay the fee for their expansion?

This is grossly unfair and they know we have no option on cancelling membership for poor service at the club or because it is no longer needed and they take advantage because of this.

I filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, who administers the Health Studio Law. I hope they can look into this situation for those of us who cannot afford to hire an attorney.
