Lou Fusz Mitzubishi St. Peters engages in immoral and unethical marketing tactics meant to mislead recipients into coming to their store.

They sent me a scratch and win flyer in the mail. When I scratched the flyer my number corresponded with the number next to the 40" television prize. Skeptical, I called the number on the flyer and told them that it says I had won a Television (because the number I scratched was the same number next to the TV). The man on the line confirmed my win, and congratulated me. I kept asking questions, he assured me that there was no catch, I just had to come in and pick it up.

Excited I went out and bought a TV stand and a DVD player. But to my disappointment when I came to the store there were 6 or 7 people in line who also thought they won TV's. We were all sat down one at a time and told that the winning numbers don't correspond to the prize items that they are next to. How convenient! There was no fine print stating such. I would question if this is even legal to mislead people in such a manner. It is doubtful that the Better Business Bureau would approve of such tactics.

Turns out it was all a misleading ploy to get me to look at their cars during their grand opening. I walked out of there with a 5 dollar gift and had to take the TV stand back. This was a huge inconvenience. Please don't waste your time on these clowns.

Lets accept one thing

AUTHOR: Bubba Lee - (Canada)

POSTED: Thursday, December 03, 2015

Jim is a jerk and is missrepresenting the BBB. See below the real advice for my clairification.

REAL ADVICE: This can cnstitute false advertising and missrepresentation. Call the agency in your jurisdiction to make a complaint. Its not hard and will really upset the sales manager and Dealer Principle that approved this promotion.

THE BBB

The BBB is an orginization run by and supported by business membership. They are there to moderate disagreements and recomend to business when they have made and error or have done less than the best for their customer. They have no power to force a refund or change.

The ratings shown on the BBB website are impartial and accurate but you need to read the fine print carefully. A large business like a car dealer gets more tolerance on bad complaints before it hurts the rating than a smal business.Jerks like Jim think it makes the BBB corrupt and inefective. Not so. You should see how pissed my boss gets over a complaint.

So make A BBB complaint. You won't get anywhere but it goes on their record. Complain to the government agency that deals with false and missleading advertising.

Excellent Report...But One Correction!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 02, 2015

It was refreshing to read a well written report like yours! Your are right in assuming their purpose is to get you into the door and lying about a prize! What can you expect from The Sleazy American Car Business! One correction however....the BBB-BS will approve of anything a business does but ONLY if that business PAYS them to approve of it! The BBB-BS is NOT part if any government agency. The purpose of the BBB-BS is to SELL their phony "accreditations" to anyone who wants to pay the price. If the business is a scam, you can be absolutely guaranteed the BBB-BS will sell them their A+ phony accreditation for a price. The BBB-BS in and of itself is a SCAM exactly like those places which sell fake diplomas. So please continue on your quest of being the smart consumer you are and please, please go not fall for the BBB-BS scam. Remember, the BBB-BS is NOT part of any government body and they have absolutely ZERO power to do anything. The BBB-BS is nothing more than a well organized CON-GAME and they are definitely NOT your friend!
