I can't believe that no one has said anything about Lou Pearlman's blatant rip-off and use of the NYPD name, logo and symbol. (By the way, I think you people at Ripoff Report need another category - Patent infringement or something like that.) I wonder what the NYPD thinks about their name and logo being used by all the Lou Pearlman scam artists (Alec Defrawy, Ralph Edward Bell, Cort Randell, Jason Hoffman, etc.) and organized crime (Zwebner, Cunningham, Walker, Daly, et al).

Lou Pearlman strikes again! He has ripped off so many people he now resorts to ripping off the NYPD logo

I know that Lou, under advisement, decided to take advantage of another franchise scam, smelling the demise of the fated marriage with Wilhelmina. This is also an opportunity to clean all the dirty money from the Wilhelmina - Edge Talent scams. This scam model includes NYPD Holding going public, so look for an IPO coming soon.

One of Pearlman's partners is Paul Russo. His company, Russo Concepts, Inc., 7931 BRIDGESTONE DR., ORLANDO FL 32835 and Louis J. Pearlman ENTERPRISES, INC. make up the NYPD Holdings company, FEI Number: 320-06-0957. Russo's company was just formed on December 27, 2002 purely for the purpose of developing the franchise scam. Beware of a NYPD Pizza coming to your neighborhood soon.

NYPD Pizza franchise is a scam

AUTHOR: Rick Drury - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, September 18, 2009

Yes, Lou Pearlman is a rip off artist , and is now doing 25 years in a federal Prison for running the largest Ponzi scheme in Florida's history.

I am a former franchisee from the NYPD Pizza franchise. Just to clear up an incorrect fact. Lou Perlman, and his Boy Band Manager, Paul Russo(who is now the CEO of NYPD pizza now that Lou is unavailable for the next 25 years), actually do own the acronym NYPD and the shield logo. Check the United States Patent and Trademark Office website, and do the search like i did before franchising with them.

I franchised with them before Lou's arrest in 2007. Franchising with them was the biggest mistake of my life, and the biggest mistake all of the other franchisee's say as well, which is why nearly every franchisee and former franchise is now suing NYPD Pizza and Paul Russo.

If you are doing a google search of NYPD Pizza while considering franchising with them, and come across this article, please do the following. Forget it. Dont do it. Dont walk, run away as fast as you can. Every franchisee that i have spoke to has closed down now, or is in litigation with them now. it is a huge mess. do not franchise with them. biggest mistake of my life.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

NYPD Pizza hasn't had a connection to Lou Pearlman in YEARS!

AUTHOR: Karmagirl - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 21, 2008

I am a happy ex-employee of NYPD in Orlando and so are 98% of any previous employees you ask. They are a tight family and always have been. We are all still close and I keep in touch with most of co-workers from many years ago. Lou Pearlman stopped believing in the NYPD project almost as soon as he started to help Paul get the company off the ground, actually only caused him a lot of headaches.

Don't blame a guy (Russo) who lost all his families money to Pearlman is his scams and is just trying to have a business, follow his dream and have a future for his daughter. People need to learn the facts and not just assume they know everything. Whoever wrote this mean spirited article probably was around the "Lou World" for a short period of time and couldn't get their son in a boyband or something...bitter and greedy people came through thoses doors at NYPD with Lou and I hope they all end up together...in a cold and dark lonely place.

Ohhh P.S.......NYPD pays tribute to the Cops of NYC, Pauls brother in law is one and so is Best Friend. Get a life people!
