This is the latest correspondence that I have tried to send these guys. Note the sarcasm in the email is purely out of frustration. We have tried to be very civil and cooperative. We cannot even get them to return a call or an email. If you notice on the web stie, they do not even have contact info, we had to dig it up....that should tell you something.

"My father in law ordered this item from you based on my bad advice ( I thought you were a reputable company)

Per your email dated 12/16/10 the item had been shipped.

On Christmas eve, I was able to track you down by cell and you provided me with the tracking number, only after making it very clear how honored I should be to talk to you since you have been so busy. Here is a hint, most business would not be complaining about that problem, but I doubt you will be as busy next year....see below.

Prior to calling you I spoke to UPS who stated that any packaged shipped from your address to our would have been delivered (had it been shipped on the 16th as stated).

After we spoke I called UPS with the tracking number. They said it was sent on the 20th and would be delivered on the 27th. I cannot tell you how exciting that is for an 8 year old little girl. But your ability to surprise does not stop there....

We did get the package on 12/27 just before lunch.Once we opened the box we notice a very colorful box inside...inside of that we found (1) sheet of bubble wrap (?) and a smashed piece of furniture. Even more excitement! Who ever packed this must of run out packing material or never shipped with UPS before. By the way, before you blame UPS, the box it came in was in good shape....I saved it for a souvenir. About 1.5 hours later....I tried to call your company, however you guys must have still been recovering because no one has called me back. My father-in-law received the same stellar service when he tried to contact you.

So here is what is going to happen. Call it whatever you want, but it is a fact. If a full refund is not received within 24 hours from the time this email is sent, a formal complaint will be filed with the Virginia State District Attorney's office.A blog is already being created to alert other unsuspecting fools about your business practice, and I will place comments on ripoffreport.com"

Old Shipping Damage, Never Proof of Claim

This old spurious report because of shipping damage just doesn't go away. It has been six years.  No photo evidence was ever produced to prove the claim. 

Follow the money! Site wants money to defend or remove. I spoke to this man. He wants me to give him money! And he wasn't the buyer. His daughter was receiving the item as a last-minute Christmas gift. UPS didn't get it from northern Virginia to south Texas until the 27th. Someone either sat on the box or they threw something heavy on the box. Shock damage does sometimes occur. We shipped lots of these large doll closets without problems.

If the man had produced photo evidence we could have been reimbursed for the damaged product by UPS and would have reshipped. If he had been nice we would have sent a replacement. But he was nasty. Why throw good money after bad? He didn't want the replacement. We believe he repaired the door hinges and his daughter enjoyed this item, and is now saving it as an heirloom for her daughter.

well it has been just over two weeks since we have last heard from Lovvbugg.com.  Keep in mind the last email we received from her was acknowledgement of receipt of a certified letter from my father in law (the customer).  In addition to stating that legalese in the letter does not scare her. She stated that we do not need to contact her, if she needs anything she would contact us.   I guess it does not matter if we need anything.  Also, she did say a claim had been filed with (I assume) UPS.  

Well guess what.  I have heard nothing of a claim from UPS.  I would assume they would want to inspect the package.  That is at my address.  

We have received no claim number or any evidence of a claim.  We have just been told not to contact her.

Not sure if this will get resolved or not.  So far no evidence that it will.  But apparently we, I mean my father in law the customer, and me the receiver of the package are the bad guys.

Per Lovvbugg. I claims has been filed with the shipping company and said she would issue a refund once the claim is settled. I know this only because she stated it in an email sent to me and my father in law. Also in that email was a request not to contact her again.

I will post the final resolution once received.

The following posting from "Betsy Lovvbugg" contains two outright lies:

Lovvbugg.... not easy to work with

Betsy at Lovvbugg as been nothing but uncooperative in this matter. Her responses to me have been to call me a liar and to personally attack me because I posted on this site.

However, not once has she apologized for our inconvenience or the lack of service. Instead I get to hear how busy she has been and that I am not the customer. However, the package was delivered to my daughter at my address. If someone was going to ship it back...it would be me, the person who purchased this for my daughter lives 200 miles away..she knows this because I told her.

She says that I did not send pics until the 17th...That is true because that is when they were requested. She did not bother to respond to our correspondence of 12/28 and 1/3.

Also, per the UPS website the package was delivered at 12.28 at 12:09.

All we have asked for is resolution. All we have recieved are excuses and personal attacks.

By the way, I sent the pics from my cell phone she claims the files are too big. Finally, she flat out said that she refuses to deal with me because I am not her customer.

I would never do business with this so-called outfit. I have always been a supporter of family run business and will continue to be. Unfortunately, you have to deal with these every now and then. I just know to avoid this one.

Lack of Response!!!!!

I am the father-in-law who purchased the damaged product. Lovvbugg complains that they do not want to speak to my son-in-law, but rather to the person who purchased the product. That would be me!

I sent them an email on January 3rd with my son-in-law's contact information and asked them to call him (which they did not) since he received the damaged product. However, I also included my cell phone number, and obviously they had my email address, but they chose not tocontact me. I have also left voice mails which have not been returned.

I have been a CPA for over thirty years and I have never seen a customer treated this badly!

I have tried to work with this man even though he is NOT my customer! he did not send photos of the damage to me until after this report. and he filed his posting on the same day he wrote the threatening email to me.

This impossible person is a good example of why it is important to get things in writing--and exactly why i don't like phone calls.
