Lower Merion Police Department unfair treatment of citizens not in the higher income bracket and racial profiling, harassment Lower Merion Pennsylvania

Throughout my eighteen plus years of living on the border of Philadelphia and Lower Merion I've seen and been helped by dozens of honest and hard working police officers. But, I've also seen many situations where Lower Merion Police officers have followed my "Black" friends for no reason and harrassed them till they left the Lower Merion border line. They also constantly try to intimidate anybody who doesn't live in Lower Merion and uses Lower Merions roads to by pass busy City Line Ave.

I've also been the recent victim of a assault at a former workplace by a former boss with many witnesses that were on my side, all witnesses gave statements to the police stating that I was a victim of assault resulting in hospitilization.

Later, I found that the officer dropped all charges because of a unknown reason and didn't even arrest the woman who did assault me. All, because we were not rich and did not live in Lower Merion. I have hundreds of other stories to tell but, no time too.

I am a law bidding citizen who works over 50 hours a week. I have no criminal record and have never been arrested for anything. I work hard so my parents and my future wife can rest alittle. All I ask is for the police department that is suppose to protect me and my family to do their job with out discrimination and racial bias.

As a Korean American living in Philadelphia, I have been called all the racial slures that you could think of and have been physically assaulted because of my race. That stuff all made a big impact in my life but, the amount of discrimination that I've seen by the Lower Merion police department made the biggest impact on me. It shows me that I cannot trust all officers especially from Lower Merion. And believe me, I really hate to say that since, some of my closest and dearest friends are officers. I just want someone to hear me and all the other hardworking honest people who have been harrassed for no reason. Thanks.
