She threatened his children, and ultimately ruined the relationship he had with his daughters. She first isolated him from his family, then took away all access to funds. He was not able to sign off on any checks made from the company and had to account for all monies used for everything including meals. She made him put his car under her name, so that she had complete control. He did disappear as they said in the news paper, however, he fled from fear of his life and that of his children and grandchildren. Sometimes, it is easy to believe women over men when it comes to abuse, and statistics show that more likely than not police are not going to respond to a call of domestic dispute when filed by a man. Although, it may seem uncommon and is not regularly heard of domestic violence against men is an actual thing.
