I purchased the marriage fitness program from Mort Fertel, under the impression that he offered a 100% money back guarantee, NO QUESTIONS ASKED, as long as his requirements were met. Simple enough as his requirements were;
Product must be returned within 30 days
You must be able to say that the program didn't fit your needs
You had completed a 10 minute phone call with Mort himself, coaching you
What they did NOT tell me that was once he learned I wanted to return the product, I was denied the 10 minute phone call. Thus I didn't meet his requirements for a refund of $416.95.
This company sets up their system and they will not allow you to meet their criteria for refund! AND the product is A JOKE!!!!!!!

I ordered the program for a friend a while back, in late 2008. In the meantime they decided together to file for divorce and have since gotten closer to divorcing. But when I wanted to return the product, yes, my friend did have to schedule the 10 minute laser session which she did. And then I was able to send the workbook, book and CD's back to Mr. Fertel. No problems, no questions.

Correction, I was not "denied" a 10 minute phone call, I missed an UNCONFIRMED appointment due to an illness and was told I could not reschedule my appointment.
Since this report has gone public, I have been threatened by Mort Fertel's secretary of lawsuits for punitive damages.
This is my experience with this company. The business practices I view as questionable. My advice to anyone seeking to purchase this product is to make sure you really want to spend the $400 because the "no questions asked" money back guarantee can be just out of your reach! And the product is, in my opinion, a JOKE! The basis of his advice, "DO NOTHING". The video that accompanies the cd's never even shows an audience. It looks like something that my son could have created in our garage. Now, I'm not saying this is what Mort did, but......
I should also acknowledge that when I brought all of this to the attention of Mr. Fertel, he did offer alternative solutions such as arbitration AT MY EXPENSE to let a third party settle our dispute.
This listing is not intended to slander Mr. Fertel in any way. It's simply to tell what happened to ME and to warn others to watch your p's and q's when dealing with this company.

Stacey Kaye Harlan did not receive a refund because she did not qualify for a refund. Our refund policy stipulates as follows:
a. The materials must be returned in resalable condition.
b. The materials must be returned to us within 30 days of placing your order.
c. You must have utilized your private 1-on-1 laser session within the 30 days.
d. You must be able to honestly say that the program was not worthwhile for you.
We scheduled Stacey for the laser session but she failed to call for her appointment. She therefore did not meet the refund requirements and thus was not issued a refund.
Sometimes people ask why the laser session is required. One of the reasons is that the guarantee offered is NOT unconditional. In other words, the intention behind the guarantee is to offer a refund to people who give the program their all and after 30 days still feel it's not helping. If a person does not use the program to its fullest (especially if they don't use the private laser session), then the program is not responsible.
In any event, the refund policy clearly states that if the user does not use their laser session, then they forfeit their right to a refund.
The reason the refund policy is stated so clearly and publicly is so that there can be no misunderstanding or question about who is entitled to a refund and who is not.
It would not be professional or ethical for the distribution of refunds to be a matter of judgment or opinion. Nor would it be fair to make exceptions. We must administer the refund policy with complete integrity and without exception. That means that the same guidelines apply to everyone.
When Stacey placed her order, she agreed to the terms and conditions of the sale, including the refund policy. We are committed to upholding all the terms and conditions of the sale and we are saddened that she did not live by them peacefully.
