Drove and had friends meet us at Marz from Bethlehem PA in a snowstorm to use $50 in 1/2 off the Valley certificates I had.

They were purchased in Feb 2012 and clearly stated "valid for two years from ddate

Checked out their menu online and called before the trip to make sure they were open and if we needed reservations.  The man who answered said we don't need reservations.

The menu on their website looked good, salads, burgers, wraps. 

We arrived around 7 pm on a Friday night.  The place was empty.  There was one person running everything from bar to cook.  

We wanted mixed drinks.  He didn't know how to make any, including a long island iced tea.

We ased for draft light beer.  After a delay of waiting, the keg was empty.  He kept chatting us up telling us how spanish girls are the worst patrons and he has to bounce them out all the time.  I didn't think that was appropriate small talk.  He ignored my request for menus. 

We wanted our drinks, not idol, racist banter.  He didn't even know what they had so we had to show him the Mich Ultra light in the cooler.  It tasted bad and the labels were loose, like to was old.  I looked and Low-and-Behold it expired last June.  June 15, 2012.

We wanted food.  I went up again and asked him for menus for our party of 4.  He passed me 1 and said "we don't any of of this anymore" referring to the whole page of sanwiches and entrees.  So from the appetizer page we asked for clams.  He said they dont have them.  Nachos? nope.  All they had on  the whole menu was chicken fingers and mozz sticks.  A five year old would be happy with that selection perhaps but that was not what we drove there for.

Then, starving, and no food, we decided to check out to go to a place that had food.  They wouldnt take our gift certifcates. The bar tender and owner were on the phone and the bar tender was told to not take them.  We cant use them for anything except the (expired) botled beer and we cant even get that to go.  We have to sit there and drink on an empty stomach.

My friend got the owner on the phone and told him were are four area business owners and this is no way to treat people..  He laughed at her!  We thought about calling the police - as this was fraud to not accept certifcates - he said "please call them, I know them... hahahaha"

So I have $50 in valid certifcates to a crappy, misleading and fraudulent place.
