MCI Worldcom Communications, charging higher rates for crimes not committed

my report is about mci worldcom communications. here in california the state penal system has this deal or contract if i may with mci worldcom communications in that mci handles all collect calls from all state penal institutions. no problem there, right? wrong! for in-state collect calls from ca penal institutions the receiver of such calls pay $.50 per minute be it a residence or a business. that is terribly high considering you can get collect calls from mci outside of the ca penal system for in-state calling from $.12 to $.15 per minute!!!

it is unfair and wrong. the person(s) or company(s) who accept these calls are being penalized by the state and the mci company for having dealings with inmates and that is a direct violation of the citizens private rights. my business deals with inmates and their families on a regular basis and this is highway robbery, a rip off.
