MCM Services Inc. Quit first day on job complaining it was "too much work" Trenton Michigan

In June of this year, a friend of mine, who is a local home repair contractor in Dearborn, came across a house that had some great siding work done by MCM Services Inc.  In hearing about this from my him, I decided to reach out to MCM to install and repair my home's siding. After two botched jobs from two other siding contractors, I was hopeful that MCM would be able to complete the siding work on my house-- which at this point, has been improperly sided and unfinished for over a year now.

 It took several weeks for them to get back with me and visit my home to provide a quote. Finally, on June 26th, MCM sent staff out to quote me on the siding installation and repairs for my house.

They quoted me for $8,500 with a $1,000 deposit on the job. I paid them the $1,000 deposit, but was told it would be 6-8 weeks before they could even start on my job. Because I was hopeful that they would provide high quality work, I decided to wait for them to work on my home.

 On August 20th, almost 2 months after they quoted me, MCM finally sent out a team to do the siding job on my home. After them moving all of my stuff out of the basement and leaving my home a mess, they decided that this job was "too much work for them" and they cleared out their tools and left the job. After barely completing any work on my home and leaving my house a wreck, they quit.

This type of behavior is not only unprofessional, but also, extremely negligent. Because they made me wait so long to work on my home, it is now the end of summer, and I will have trouble finding another contractor to work on and complete the siding on my home before the fall and winter arrive. Without a properly sided home, my house will continue be un-weatherized for another year.
