MedExpress MedExpress Eastgate Why make an appointment? Greensburg Pennsylvania

An appointment was made for a simple blood test, scheduled for 8AM on a Saturday morning, which is when they open. I had made this appointment as a continuation of a series of blood tests that were taken at the Medexpress location. I arrived a few minutes before 8AM and there were already a few people waiting outside for the doors to open.

When I registered, I was told to take a seat and someone would be right with me. An hour later, I was still sitting there, but the people who were in front of me, who had made no appointments, were all being seen. I asked about my appointment time, since I was now late for work, and was told that they take everyone in the order they come in, despite having a pre scheduled appointment that was simply a blood draw...no Dr or PA was even needed. After waiting an hour and a half, I walked out, vowing never to return.

What is the sense in making an appointment if they don't recognize it? If you offer appointments, you should at least try to follow the schedule instead of grouping everyone together, regardless of if they have an appointment or just walked in off of the street. That is what appointments are for!
