I received a call at 12:51 a.m. for my mother-in-law, who has been deceased 3 years and only used my phone number briefly about 10 years ago.

The caller stated that he was calling from Megamillions Lottery and Sweepstakes.  When I noted the time and that the woman in question was deceased he aplogized and said he was calling from Sacramento.

I searched the number today and it is listed as "YMax Communications Corp."  I can only find this company in FL and it looks completely unrelated.  It is listed in Sacramento, CA, on the white pages reverse search.

I called today and asked for a supervisor.  I spoke to "Mr. Mark Fisher" who spoke in accented English.  He was rude and dismissive.  He said that one was automatically entered in these sweepstakes for practically anything from using coupons at a dozen national retail chains to buying lottery tickets and paying your bills on time.  He said one would not know they were entered and could win years after being entered.

I asked about Megamillions' parent organization and he said there is none.  I asked who owned the company and he said "Mr. Bill Gates".

When I asked to be sure my phone number was removed from the system he said it already was.  I asked how he knew and he said that while talking to me he checked his desk and information had been "sent" to remove my phone number from the list.  Sent where?

He stated that they called so late because they are in California.  I asked why they would be calling at 10 p.m. PST about sweepstakes and he said that sometimes they don't get all their work done during acceptable hours and they have keep calling into later hours.

He continued to use a rude and exasperated tone during the entire call.  I am certain this is not a legitimate sweepstakes and will continue to report in on any related sites.
