membership care.net Unauthorized debits to my account Las Vegas, Nevada

I do not even know this company, but somehow they got my checking account information and hit my account for some small debits. So, I called them to see who they were and how they had my account #. They speak very little English, hard to understand and they will not give you information. They couldn't locate me in their system by name, email address or phone #(it was all incorrect, off by a few digits). She said they were verifying my account was open before they charge me with a membership fee. I asked her where she had a signed authorization from me, and she just kept getting louder than me & said that I was going to be debited for a $30 membership fee(for what???, she never could tell me that). Then she gave me an email & said I could email this other company(she didnt have a name for them, OH, and they do NOT have a telephone # either), and try to stop it before they debit me.

I don't know how places can get away with this. If you do not authorize them, then you have to go down and fight with your bank....and in this case I can put a stop payment--BUT, what is the company name to use....UGH.....this isn't fair to consumers. Either way I have to pay for something that I did NOT give authorization for.
