Mercantila - home Gym Superstore charges credit card but doesn't ship product San Francisco California

This is by far the most unprofessional company I have dealt with. I ordered a product from mercantila's sister company the home gym superstore 3 Jan 09. The caption specifically stated that the product would ship in one business day. After one week with no update on my shipping status on their webpage I tried to call. After being placed on hold for over 20 minutes, I decided to email them. A few days later I get an email which appeared unusual. Basically the email said they were working on my order but the warehouse couldn't them an exact tracking number. I was told I would have an update in a few days. After a few days with no update I called and again waited over 20 minutes but did get through. At this time the man on the phone said something "weird" was going on because my product was not listed anymore on there website. At this point I said cancel my order and I was told this was put in an expect a refund in a few days. I also sent an email confirming my cancellation do to the inconsistencies and my product not being shipped. The problem with the email system they have set up is one cannot not send a copy to oneself concerning any correspondence. The deadline came and passed and no confirmation, no response to several emails, and almost ipossible to get through on the phone I decided to do some research on the company. Other than numerous reports on this website the BBB has also revoked the status of this company during Aug 08. The company has had numerous complaints on the BBB website confirming the things read on this website which has earned them there unsatisfactory rating. Fortunately I paid by credit card and have filed a dispute. People need to avoid this company like the plague. I truly feel that this company tries to give customers the run around in an attempt to wear them down with the hope that fighting for ones rights wont be worth the effort. Although this is my perception, the company has shown me nothing to prove otherwise. If one has ordered from this company without knowing its history like myself, I can only say cancel your order immediately and file a credit report especially if there is any delay or excuse given for why your order has not shipped.
