merchant express money order company inc. almost scammed.... salt lake city , Utah

thanks to this site i did not get ripped off but could have. i advertised 2 cell phones on craigslist and a "little old woman" from utah contacted us and wanted us to use the merchant express company and send 1 phone to her son serving in iraq. she offered to pay the asking price plus 100 dollars(if u read other reports here this sounds familiar).

so i did some research to see if the company is legit and came across the ripoff report. needless to say i will not be sending a cell phone anywhere! please others reading this: Never send someone you dont know anything before having money in hand. 

if you want to deal with people in a different state only deal with reputable companies that deal with paypal or credit cards but also beware of sending money to people- you have to hope to get your product from the person recieving money.

i think after this experience i will only deal with people i can meet in person..then noone gets ripped off!
