Anybody thinking about making reservations at the Miracle Springs Resort and Spa in Desert Hot Springs think twice before getting ripped off and experience horrible staff crime. Me and my wife booked a couple rooms at Michael Bickford's hotel but when we showed up they said we didn't have reservations.  I showed them my phone with the reservations information and our banking institution showing that the funds were paid and cleared.  The staff evidently tried to cover up the extortion and embezzelement.  After hours of conflict with the manager and the owner's son Reggie Bickford, we were told to leave because they were calling the police. That was just the beginning of our awful experience there.

We were not able to retrieve our money back from our bank because when our bank contact them, they lied and said we actually stayed there.  They presented false documentation to our bank.  The nightmare wasjust starting.  The day we were forced to leave the resort, we came back to our vehicle only to find that someone from their staff scratched our rental vehicle and stole some of our belongings.  We know that because our son saw a person with hotel attire at our car during our detainment and conflict with the owner, which was obviously a ploy.  When we asked to see the video from their security they refused.  There were numerous security cameras both inside the hotel and in the parking lot.  They tried to blame it on the neighborhood.

After about 6 months of tryig to negotiate with the owner, we discover that they used our credit card for fraudulent activities.  We have spent so many hours and days and months dealing with this nightmare.  We only want to forget about the terrible time of all this.  That is why we decided to write this to expose the criminals they are.  Do not book at that hotel.  It is in a horrible part of town that they say is close to Palm Springs.  It so far away and the crime in the area is rampant. We are never going back to Southern California again. Just terrible people everywhere especially Michael Bickford and his family and staff.  They are all in on scheming to rip people off.  His wife runs the hotel next door called Desert Hot Springs Spa Hotel. That's a run down resort too.

We are out over $600 plus all the time and money for attorneys and rental car repair and stuff.  Don't waste your time with them.
