On July 1, 2008 I responded to an email and sales letter landing page from Michael T. Glaspie DBA Bannersgomlm.com that promised a custom designed banner ad placed on 60,000 web sites (impressions) and guaranteed 5,000 "hits" per month. "Hits" means "clicks" on your ad that takes them to your web site.
All this was to be set up on autopilot by Bannersgomlm.com personel and was to send massive amounts of targeted traffic to my web site for the sum of $57.47 monthly with the first month free, cancel anytime. Of course the fine print required a 30 day advance notice to cancel and prevent further charges which meant they were going to charge you for the free month if you cancelled any time in the first 30 days.
So Mike lied about the free month! What he was really doing was collecting at the end of the billing period instead of the beginning. There was no free month possible, given the 30 day advance notice in the fine print.
They did create their "kick butt" banner ad and emailed me a copy. After a week of no hits on my web site I decided I should contact them to see what the problem was. I could not find a support email address or a phone number for support. I did notice the emails sent to me previously came from "support@bannersgomlm.com" so I used that to submit a support ticket.
A week went by and no response! Sent another support request, a few more days pass and no response! Then sent third support ticket with "Cancel cancel cancel" in the subject line requesting that I be removed from all their lists and membership groups. Continued to get new offer emails but no response to the support requests.
At the end of thirty days I had zero hits of the promised 5,000, no responses to my support requests, but oh yes, they did manage to charge my account the $57.47 as promised and continued to send "new scam" offers.
They made one mistake though! They sent me a new offer for their latest scam and it included their corporate phone number, so I used it to call support.
Explaining to them that 30 days had passed with no hits on my site and no response to support emails, I would like to cancel my membership/subscription and asked to have the current charge reversed as the first month was supposed to be free. I was told in a rather loud, argumentive tone and I quote "You are now cancelled but you do have to pay one charge of $57.47"
When I objected to the charge the voice got louder and nastier and said "What do you think, we would let you benefit from a whole month of our advertising for you with no charge? I responded with "Now I understand" and hung up to call my credit card company and write this report.
Mike not only lied about the free month but also lied about the 60,000 impressions and the 5,000 hits and didn't have b--ls enough to answer the support requests because he knew he had no answers except that he scammed me! Besides, he was very busy scamming other honest folks!

Gary, the order form at BannersGoMLM.com clearly states there is a one month billable term for the advertising package you purchased. Through your account that is set up for you, you can target the categories to which your banner is shown, thus maximizing your target audience and interest in your offer.
Your account back office has a support form located on every page through which you can submit a support ticket, and our toll-free phone number is located on every order form - these are not hidden or hard to find. The website itself has a contact page with our email, address, and phone number. We do not hide behind a website, and to ignore the multitude of ways we have support available to you is ridiculous. All emails sent have unsubscribe information with a link to click on and remove yourself from any lists. The accusations you make are unfounded and libelous.
BannersGoMLM.com delivers traffic and clicks to your site, but just like every other advertising company we cannot control your website responsiveness, nor guarantee conversions and orders from your site. Just because something does not work for you doesn't mean it won't work for someone else. You canceled your advertising after the 30 days of advertising (not within the 30day period) and you do not list the site you were promoting, and your site myworkathomeaptitude.com is not found online anymore.
But BannersGoMLM.com is still going strong and growing, proving it works and is a viable resource for traffic.
And for everyone wondering why there are a wide variety of issues, you should read this --
Over the years there have been a number of negative posts about me or should I say 'Mike G'. Some of them from individuals who have had unrealistic expectations regarding advertising they have purchased from us, some have been outright lies, perhaps from competitors. Even more of them have been by folks who have been ripped off by someone claiming to be 'Mike G' or using my name endorsing their product.
First, and to set the record straight, I am associated with only three companies:
1) BannersGoMLM
2) MySiteInc
3) The ICANetwork
Second, I am not associated with any other company nor have I given permission to any other company to use my name or my moniker which I have spent millions of dollars branding online. Obviously that moniker is "Mike G". Because Mike G is not a real name - my legal name - it is not under any extension of trademark laws, and anyone can use it as a pen name or pseudonym with impunity, and many many have.
I think everyone reading this has received a fake email appearing to be from PayPal asking you to verify your account information. Same thing happens with my moniker and there's nothing I can do about it. I must rely upon the intellect of the recipient of that promotion to look closely at the header to determine if that email they received is actually from one of my companies or not. That is always the best solution.
Third, this same issue has led to numerous postings from individuals who claim they are not able to 'get off my list.' Fact of the matter is, in 2002 I was invited to submit a white paper to the FTC prior to the promulgation of the 2003 Can-Spam Act Rules. I'm happy to report that three of my ideas in that white paper were in fact adopted by the FTC committee and made it into the final bill. I do support Can-Spam, we do not spam, and every email we ever send from any of our companies has always had a clear and conspicuous auto unsubscribe mechanism in it as well as the physical address and name of the company (both clear requirements of the law).
The late Dr. Stephen Covey, one of the world's most influential and foremost leader in the self-improvement field, through his famous book, "The Seven Habits Of Highly Successful People" teaches, and this is one of those seven habits, 'seek first to understand, then to be understood.' I hope the readers of this post will embrace this all important ideal and begin to understand that when an individual is successful and has over 1/2 million subscribers and customers, that to take the word of a few disgruntled or dissatisfied parties as gospel and base their opinion on these is unreasonable. Thank you for listening
