MICHIGAN SCHOOLS AND GOVERNMENT CREDIT UNION THEY HAVE BEEN POSTING $30 OVERDRAFT FEES FOR 9 MONTHS; SOME BY ACCIDENT, AND JUST NOW ARE TELLING ME THAT THEY HAVE AN INSTANT ACCOUNT PROGRAM AVAILABLE THAT WILL HELP THIS KIND OF THING NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN; AM I INTERESTED IN THIS PROGRAM FOR THE FUTURE?!!! Utica Michigan

Me and my son have been members of Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union for almost a year. We have had allot of mishaps with our checkiing accounts and with using PayPal and have had to pay numerous overdraft fees  because of delayed transactions by PayPal. Today it happened to me again, and again I called MSGCU to ask how this could keep happening? Isn't there a grace period of notification system of some kind in place so customers can get to the bank and bring their checking balance back up to speed.

  "NO" is the answer, "but we do have a program that if you make a mistake in your checking that an instant line of credit is available to offset any amounts hitting your checking account that you do not have the funds to pay." So, I've been with you almost a year. Me and my son have had numerous and unfortunate PayPal transactions put us in the red, that we had to pay a $30 fee and sign a form to NOT allow PayPal to deduct any money from our accounts. "Do I want to start a program like this today to avoid these overdraft charges from occurring in the future?" WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK?!?!!! Is this something that should have been discussed when we opened our new accounts?!! THAT WOULD BE GOOD BANKING!!

Instead MSGCU keeps taking overdraft fees over and over again for the same unfortunate problem with the same entity, PayPal. Say, would this have been a good thing to mention months ago, instead of offering us a form and fee of $30 to stop PayPal from having access to our money?! Of course not. How would MSGCU make money if it wasn't for unethical means and circumstances THEY HONOR instead of helping their customer with a program they already have in place?!?!?!! GREEDY MICHIGAN SCHOOLS AND CREDIT UNION SHOULD BE THEIR NAME.

How can we make money off of you should  be their motto? What can we not tell you that will help us make money off of you policies.  A BANK AND CREDIT UNION IS SUPPOSED TO KEEP YOUR MONEY SAFE!! NOT ACT LIKE ITS THEIR MONEY AND KEEP TAKING IT WHENEVER THEY SEE A WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY, BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT NOR EVER OFFERED, THEIR EXISTING PROGRAM TO DEFER OVERDRAFT FEES FROM OCCURRING.  THIS IS NOT A CREDIT UNION; THIS IS AN OFFICE OF CAPITALISTS WHO SHOULD BE LOOKED AT AS THIEVES!!! 

Debbie is the supervisor I spoke with on the telephone this morning and fits every requirement of beiing a supervisor, not a leader or a professional managerial position, that she sees nothing wrong with offering a program a year too late!!! Where are your quality indicators to tell yoiu what you could be doing better, Debbie? How much do you want to bet that this is business as usual and nothing comes of this complaint?
