I work for a company that specializes in catering to the ultra rich. Our members comprise of Royalty and Celebrities as well as the "just plain rich". I plan major events for them and make every expressed and unexpressed request into a reality. One of our members' sons was about to celebrate his 25th birthday and wanted a Ferrari. This young man was always known for playing pranks on others. His mother called me and wanted to play a prank on her son for once. She wanted to rent an exotic for him for his birthday knowing how mad he would be when he found out it wasn't his. She was then going to surprise him with his very own Ferrari the next morning.
I have several contacts in the industry but I have never really needed to rent an exotic car because most of my members already have one or could afford one. So I started browsing the internet. I came across a few sites. One of which was Millionaire's Concierge. It looked a bit cheesy but I figured I would give them a call.
It is our company policy not to announce ourselves to a vendor right away as the vendor almost always charges far more than usual when they know who we are. We simply call and ask for prices and details.
I called the number on the website and Doug Turner himself, the "CEO and President", answered. I was a bit shocked but told him I was interested in renting an exotic car. He sharply asked me what kind. I said I was interested in a couple (there were two Ferrari's listed on the site) and before the word "Ferrari" even left my mouth he said he couldn't give me rates unless I knew what I wanted. He told me I would have to email him asking for a price and then he hung up on me!
I found another company that was very accommodating and had great customer service and forgot about "Millionaire's Concierge".
Later that evening, my phone rang and it was a restricted number. I answered, waited a moment while I heard loud music playing in the background and then said "hello?". It was Doug Turner. He did not announce himself, I just knew it was his rude voice. He simply asked "Yeah, you called about renting a car?" I didn't quite hear him over the music and asked "what?". He repeated himself in a very rude and snapping tone. I told him that I didn't need it anymore. He asked why and I told him that I had found another company and did not need his services. He replied to me "Yeah right, you can't afford it" and hung up the phone.
I called him back just to express my dissatisfaction with his service and let him know who I worked for and why I needed the car but as soon as he answered the phone and heard me, he hung up again.
I was so irritated that someone would treat a customer like that. It did not matter if I could afford it or not, it was not for me and even if it HAD been for me, I COULD have afforded it. I cannot believe that Doug Turner has the never to talk to and treat people like this.
Our company has a black list which we add vendors to that we refuse to do business with. All of our sister companies and all of our members have direct web access to the list so that they know if a company is unethical or a scam. We have added Millionaire's Concierge to our black list and hope that no one is every treated so poorly when trying to give someone business.

Thank you Anoymous for sharing your experience.
I shall put them on our Company Vendor Block List.
I guess we "can't afford it also." :)

Millionaire's Concierge NOT a scam

My first question is: what ripoff occurred?
The author of this report is clear that no ripoff ever occurred.
No business was ever done with this person.
All of our transactions are completed through American Express. Anybody can call American Express and quickly find out that there have been ZERO complaints about Millionaire's Concierge.
I've been on multiple TV shows including Oprah, various travel shows and I was most recently interviewed on Fox Business Channel (www.MillionairesConcierge.com/buzz.htm).
I'm not a scam, my business is not a scam.
Could I have been short with this person on the phone?
Sure, that is possible.
Did I call her back later in the day?
The only way I would have done that is if she had emailed me her phone number or if she had filled out our contact form.
BUT, I would not have called and talked to her as she stated nor would I have had loud music playing in the background.
I say again, her entire verbose writeup never claims of any scam, only that she didn't like the way she was talked to.
If she truly does work with the "ultra rich", she'd have thicker skin by now.
