M&M Tree Service sells firewood that you cannot use East Coventry, Pennsylvania

In early December I spoke with Jennifer at M&M Tree Service about their firewood.  She assured me that the firewood I would get from them would be seasoned for over 12 months.  I ordered a half a cord and had it delivered to my driveway.  As soon as it was dumped I knew I'd been had.  The pieces are way too thick.  Firewood should be split down to no more than 3 inches in thickness and be consistently about 16" in length.  Most of the pieces from M&M range from 6-8 inches thick and the lengths vary greatly; anywhere from 10 to 20 inches, which made it very difficult stack.  I thought "Well, as long as they burn I can deal with it".  Fat chance.  This stuff is green.  Using the expensive bundles of real firewood I bought at Lowe's I could get a hot fire going with a nice bed of embers.  I then added a piece of the wood that M&M sold me and you could hear the water inside it sizzling.  The M&M wood would just get charred on the outside and that's it.  Maybe it will be usable next year, but I will still have to rent a log splitter to get them down to the right thickness.  I sent Jennifer at M&M an email describing my disappointment. And to no surprise, there was no reply.  M&M has many other services, but do you think I would ever consider using them for anything else?  No, and neither will any of my friends or neighbors.  A lot of lost opportunities for a $100 sale.

I know, I know, "Buyer Beware".  So, now I know and so do you.  If you live in Southeast PA and need some good firewood for heat or just for ambiance, stay away from M&M Tree Service.  Try March Lumber in Limerick instead.  At least they told me truth, that the wood they have left is not ready and to try them again next year.
