I ordered Cabinets from this company on July 10th. The website says they guarantee to ship within 10-14 Business Days. I had good service from them from the beginning (getting samples, placing order, etc). After 20 Business days I called for an update. "They will go out on Wednesday" the next week i called for an update on Shipping.. They had not shipped "They will go out on Wednesday" This went on for a few weeks. Finally I lost my temper, threatened to chargeback the order, etc. I was promised they would go out Wednesday.. They did not go out. Finally a week later after I spoke with the owner on the phone (and he gave me a $500 refund for my trouble) I got confirmation of shipment. He also promised they had requested expedited shipping and that they would arrive on the next Friday or sooner. He confirmed at that point that I had over 55 different contacts with them to follow up (phone calle, emails, etc) which were all documented in his system. Friday came and i got a call from shipping compoany that they wanted to schedule a drop off for the next week. i aksed about the expedited shipping and they indicated that they have that option, but it was not paid for. Inorder to get them that day, I had to drive 80 miles to the shipping warehouse to pick up the crate of cabinets. I finally got them and installed them and they look good. After insall I realize that there is no Lazy Susan or drawer slides for one of the drawers. I call them and they claim that they were shipped.. Same story., It is now 3 weeks, and i still do not have lazy susan or drawer slides They answer the phone when I call and say that they can't find or dont have the tracking number but they are sure they were sent. They dont respond to emails. i would have rather paid an extra $3000.00 and had everything on time and my complete orderl They have ZERO accountability and no customer service mentality (after they get your money). The worst part of the whole thing is that the owner actually told me (when I told him I am a realtor with developer clients) that they totally would have shipped within 10 days if I told them that up front.. What a slap in the face. Still waiting on Lazy Susan. Just so you know- the color selection is really good- and finish is noce, but these are IKEA cabinets (identical hardware and everything) so if you want a similar price, and customer service go there...

After a few conversations wih the owner of Modern RTA (Patrick) he made a serious effort to resolve this situation. He shipped me the missing items, gave me a reasonable refund/discount and called to follow/make sure i received items. I understand that things happen and I appreciate the fact that he stuck with me to fix the problem. Sometimes it takes an issue/mistake like this for a company to step up and show that they really do care, and in this case I think Patrick does care about his customers and proved it with his effort in respolution.
