Molly's pc shop is a RIP OFF...
she is putting in pirated windows in the computers she sells. i have reported her to window and microsoft. You need to do this too. it is a felony...

It does no good to sue her.. the judge has ordered her to pay others before and she never has.

She built(yeah right) me a computer and it has never worked. so i got my old one back. still stuck with the one i paid her for. when i got my old one back there was no hard drive. after 4 weeks of her fixing it(yeah right) i gave it to my daughter for school and 2 days later it caught fire.

Molly said it was beacause the computer was old..
it was only 2 yeasrs old.. she was supposta put a 3d video chip in my new computer and i am still waiting for my money back. 3d chip was never put in. i had paid her over $600.00 for a new computer and all i got was a lemon...

please do not deal with this lady...
i had just put over $100.00 into my computer to fix her MESS.. and now i find out that the windows she installed was pirated...

so check your computers and if your windows was pirated report her NOW...

do not try and deal with her.. she is a back stabber...
all nice and smiles until she gets your money. then she never wants to talk with you.

she acts like it is your fault that SHE does not know how to build computers..

SO PLEASE DO NOT GIVE HER THE TIME OF DAY..
IF YOU SEE HER RUN AWAY...

if she is nice to you, think so is the devil till he gets your soul..

please contact me and maybe we can picket her place.
i have nothing better to do. now that i have a $600.00 paper weight. i am writting the B.B.B. AND ALSO CHANNEL 4 NEWS. they do report on things like this...
the courts can not do anything so lets do it ourselve...

Ask for the disk.

AUTHOR: Ben - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 17, 2005

When dealing with "mom & pop" computer stores, on average you will get a far superior computer than one by Dell, HP, or heaven forbid....Gateway.

But.....

There are certain things in regards to the OS (thats Operating System....ie: Windows!) that one should ALWAYS do.

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ASK FOR THE FULL DISK!! Not the upgrade...the full install of the OS....period.

Most big box computer makers like Dell, and Gateway now dont use disks, but rather a "partition" on your hardrive that has all the needed data. I really dont care for those, dont trust them, and never will. For massive failures, you have nothing to reinstall your OS. You just cant beat having that original OS install disk in case of biblical disaster.

Small shops that build your machine to your needs are a better deal and often much cheaper. But always be wary about the OS. Always! Make sure you have the OS "in the deal" so to speak. Often times people that are not to computer savy dont understand this. They assume the OS is just something that "comes" with a computer. Consider the OS just another piece of the "deal". Just like the keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc. Make sure its on the invoice. Make sure you get that DISK in your hands. And make sure its a legit copy (serial numbers etc.). Never assume that the OS is part of the deal. Thats where they will rip you off, and just install your OS off a disk that they already have used on 10's if not 100's of machines.

But as a whole, I will build my own computer or have a "mom&pop" shop do it loooong before buying a pre-built from the big-boys. They play their own nasty little games, and they ALL do it. At least with the small shops there are some honest people out there. You just need to know what your dealing with.

What to do

Although I am confused by many things in your report (like how to report someone to "windows", her is my advice. Installing copies of windows on multiple machines, while banned from microsoft is a common practice. If she didn't there would be an additional $100 on every bill for a new copy of windows XP. Since you said the problem with the new PC was a bad copy of Windows, do what she should have done, go to the store and BUY a copy of windows and install it on your machine.

I can tell by your terminology references that you really have no idea about computers, as many people don't. So the next time you need to buy one, since you don't know what you are talking about (no such thing as 3d video CHIP, it's a 3d video CARD) go to a reputable company like DELL or Gateway so if you have a problem like most users I encounter like yourself, you can call them 24/7. In the meantime, I am sure there are hundreds of people in your area that can figure out what the issue is with the new machine and fix it for you fairly cheap.
