I went to close a share draft account in San Angelo TX and found an electronic check drafted for $199.00 from Moonlight Marketing throught a bank in Philadelphia (ITI Bank). I did not authorize this draft, have no idea what it is for, it had an old address on it and I am in the process of closing the account and banking with another institution. I saw one report from Sacramento, but I do not know where this company is. I called the number on the electronic draft and it was active unitl 27 Sep 04 and I have gotten a disconnected message ever since. When I did talk to someone at the phone number I was told it would be a couple of weeks for it to be processed and the funds to be redeposited into my account, plus the NSF fee my credit union charged, sine I had moved my money to another account. Now I cannot contact them and I am out $224.00.

It happened to me as well with Helen of Trades and ITI bank

I was checking my online banking site and noticed check #0001 for $299 cleared. By this point I was in the 2000's. So I thought I would check into it. I was given this number to call and resolve it (18883786420). I called this number about 5 times. Of course, I got 5 different stories. First I was told they were out of Ny then another said they were out of Las Vegas. One girl called me an F-ing B and hung up on me. So finally I contact my back and had to sit there 2 hours. Come to find out, I was the 3rd person this week form my bank to be targeted. Funny thing is---the bank name was changed over 2 years ago; they had the old bank name on the drafted check; they used my old address, and when I called to see how this happened, they said that they had called my phone number and had authorization. Fact is- my old phone number has not been in service for over a year & a half either. So watch out---if you move, be prepared to have this happen a year later....unfortunately!!!

I was balancing my checking account online and noticed a check #1 for $299. I called the bank because I am on check #2245. The bank was no help and basically blamed this on me. After I finally received a copy of the check it had our old address printed on it from over a year ago. I called the number to the Helen of Trades and got a man "Edward the supervisor" and he was also no help. I will supposedly get my money back in 15 business days. This person could not give a confirmation number or any other type of guarantee. I am in the process of trying to get my money back from anyone, my bank is making empty promises to help me so I will be changing banks.
