Morgan Stanley DeanWitter Negligence

On December 1997 after I received my statement from Dean Witter I noticed that $16,800 were missing from my account. I immediately contacted my broker, Mr. Justo Martinez at the Orlando office. He stated he had letters of authorization for the release of the money. I immedialy went to this office, and was refused to see the letters. After I threated with an attorney, a few days letters the copies of the letters were produced. I pointed out I had neither written them, nor had I signed them and asked whether my signature was verified. I was told when someone came in with a letter of this type, they release the money. I asked the the cancelled checks, which were denied to me and after many months only copies were released. I advised them who had indeed written and falsified the signature on the letters, but they were not interested. I filed report with the Orlando Police Department. After that I wrote letters to Mr. Martinez, to Mrs. Charlotte Perry, the Comliance Officer in Orlando and to the corporate offices in New York. All to no avail. This is a gross negligence on their part, one of their employees made a mistake and they will not own to it. They refuse to take responsibility for their mistake and negligence and am havig to battle with this problem for close three years now. Notonly was my money gone, I have not been able to make any money had it been invested because of their mistake.
