I had a similar experience when this firm. I started at about the same time and I paid $2,475.  I ultimately got my modification going directly through CitiMortage and I went from 6.25% to 2%.  I've been in contact with Brian Colombana and he indicated it was their work that got me the modification.  They did nothing but submit the original application to CitiMortgage. I ended up having to submit an application and financial information to CitiMortgage again and I negotiated directly with them and it went relatively smooth.  I have filed a complaint with The State Bar of California www.calbar.ca.gov.  They have opened an inquiry into his activities.  I would strongly urge everyone to file a complaint that was harmed by Brian J Colombana and his firm.  You can also make a request for a refund through the State of California.  There is a fund that potentially will refund you a portion/all if service is not provided.  This information would be sent to you by the State Bar of California.  Work with your financial lender to complete a modification.  I know it's very frustrating but don't give up.  Brian J Colombana will some day reaped what he sewed.
