MP Paradise Pools & Spas Paradise Pools & Spas Builders Sub-Contractor does not have proper Insurance(s) Niagra-Falls, Ontario Canada

This is really the facts and nothing more and nothing else added.


As you may know Paradise Pools claims they have been in business for more then 15 years (and that's fine and I applaud them for it).


I just want people to know that In Ontario any contractor (doing any work in your home has to be a WSIB Member (including pool companies/builders).


I had contacted Paradise Pools and a sales representative came over by the name of Pat Carlucci came over he was way cheaper from the other companies I contacted but when ever I would ask him for his WSIB Clearance for his Sub-Contractor that is doing the excavating (he would change the subject).

One day I put Pat in his place and told him I will not sign the contract (that was over $47,000) if your sub-contractor doesn't have the papers I need (I am not going to let anyone on my property without proper insurance and documentation). I told Pat.

Pat was shocked I was asking for those documents and I qoute this is what he told me " I am very surprised in my many years in doing business I have never have seen people ask for insurance and Workmans Comp).  I fired back and said so you are trying to tell me if someone hurts them selves on my property I am reasonable not to mention you crack my foundation what happens then Pat (I asked him that question).

He told me I'm truly sorry but WSIB in Ontario doesn't want to give him the clearance he needs because he owes them some back money to them... I told him I don't care that's his own problem and didn't sign with him...

FOR CONSUMERS BUILDING ANYTHING:  ITS YOUR RIGHT TO ASK FOR THE PROPER DOCUMENTS TO DO THE SAID JOB... REMEMBER YOU NEED TO COVER YOUR SELF AS A CONSUMER THINGS DO HAPPEN!
