Mr.Tire Radiator Cap Rip-Off Columbus Ohio

I am a former customer of the Mr. Tire here in Columbus, Ohio at the corner of Morse Rd. and Karl Rd. I recently took two of my cars for an oil change to this Mr. Tire, one of the cars being my wife's Toyota Camry. Two days later my wife calls me and says that she has broken down on the side of the road with my 1 year old daughter in the car, and the car was smoking. It was raining and she said the car wouldn't start. I left work to go and help her.

Once I arrived, I lifted the hood and noticed that the cap was off of the radiator, and there was no fluid in it. I put fluid in the radiator and tightened the cap. We waited for a few minutes and the car started. We took it to UN auto repair, and they said we would need a new radiator. This cost me $540, time off work, gas going back and forth to help my wife, and the stress of my wife and I having to deal with this situation. When I called Tim and Virgil at the Mr. Tire to tell them what had happened, they did the typical denial, and did not take responsibility for what had happened to my wife's car. They just passed it on to the claims department. The claims department said they would pay for the radiator cap and the oil change, which I felt was a slap in the face, and totally unacceptable. Mr. Tire messed up my wife's car, and I feel that Mr. Tire should make it right. I am in the process of filing a lawsuit against them, but I wanted to warn other people out there that Mr. Tire is not to be trusted with your car!
