part of our Christmas money to pay a membership fee to something i never signed up for and they couldn't even exlpain what the membership was for

I had ordered a set of work-out videos from an infomercial, the Firm serries to be exact, in early November 2002. after i had placed my order the sales girl offered me other items for purchase, i declined them all and when asked if i wanted to sign up for a discount program on movies and dining out, i said maybe at a later date. Now, over a month later, i see a charge of $96.00 to my visa debit card.

when i called the phone number listed on my statement, i couldn't even talk to a person, there was only recordings. when i got on the enter-net and saw how many people this has happened to i was shocked. And thankfully, there were phone numbers listed that did get me to a rep. of the company to get this straightend out. I spoke with Heather TP514, who can't give out her last name for protection reasons, she said i would be refunded my $96 between 3 and 5 buisness days. I think that it is a little ironic that this company has to set up protection policies for their employees first i think it is because they know what they are doing is wrong and illegal and second that they make the effort to protect themselves when we obviously were not "protected" form anything.

Furhter more,Heather TP514, told me that they got my name and information from the company that i ordered from, including my card number. I think these companies need to be held responsible as well.

Fortunately my bank, Bank of America, is willing to give me a temp. refund for the money and when and if MWI ever refunds my money it will go directly to the bank, with out charge to me.
