On July 31, 2004 I looked over my CC statement and was surprised to see a charge I didn't recognize of 199.99. I immediately went on-line, typed in MWI*Homeworks plus and was sent to this rip-off website.

Even more surprised by what I read there I immediately called my CC company to dispute the charges. They told me that I had to dispute the charge with MWi first. MWI informed me that I signed up through a infomercial purchase.

When I asked them what the purchase was, no answer. They then proceeded to tell me that I received a $25 gift cert, for Home Depot, I didn't, and that that was how I got "signed up" for the "membership". MWI then told me that "someone recognized the account because my address had been changed on Feb. 11, '04 at 4:02 (A wednesday).
He couldn't tell me whether it was a.m or p.m. Like most people, at 4:02 am, I'm sleeping and pm I'm at work.

So, how could I have changed my address, and why would I since I've been at the same one for over two years???
Needless to say, I called my CC card company back and explained the situation. The woman apoligized, told me to fill out the "Notification of disputed item form" on the back of my statement and mail it to them immediately, meanwhile she'd credit my account within 2 business days. Infomercial buyers beware!!! I actually traced the date of the purchasse back to a Ronco rotisserie, which offered a Home depot gift cert., which I never received.

Therefore I never thought that I would be signed up for anything nor charged a "membership fee" of 199.95 for something I never recieved.

Let my experience be a lesson for you. Check your CC statements carefully. You never know when someone will "sign you up"!!
