Got my Bank Of America credit card statement yesterday. Two charges from MWI Simple Escapes for $9.95 each. I called the company to see what the charges were for and was told I had signed up for a discount program. I told them no way that I would ever do that. I asked them how they got my credit card # and they said from "Classmates.com" (I had signed up for a 3 month membership there). I asked them to refund me the charges and not to bill me anymore, after I threatened them they said they would. We will see.
I have also emailed Classmates.com as to why they would give out my credit card information. Their website says they have a privacy policy, Right!!! I canceled membership with Classmates.com also.
