I paid a small fee for a trial subscription to mydollarshop.com, which would automatically convert to a monthly subscription at the regular rate. Not a problem, I have done so with other companies before. Some I liked and continued, others I cancelled (sometimes I forgot to cancel and got billed for a month - I paid it without complaint and cancelled future charges).
MyDollarShop.com is a whole different story. I have called their "customer support" number more than once to cancel, and always am told "i'm next in line" only to stay on hold and be told "we're sorry, all reps are still busy - leave a message"...I have left multiple messages indicating my desire to cancel before the end of my trial period. I received no call back, and was billed for this service.
I called again to dispute charges with the same results, and still no call back. I saw another report against this company with a rebuttal that "our company responds to all issues" - I can tell you from first hand experience that is a total lie!
Somes companies charge too much, or give you nothing of quality for your money, but in the end they honor their promises - but this company is not only a rip off in terms of the product it delivers, but it makes false promises and outright lies!
Don't be taken advantage of! This is the first time I've filed a report like this and will be the first time I've ever ordered charge backs on my credit card - i will also be contacting the BBB and my attorney general. MyDollarShop.com is not just a rip off - they are outright scam artists, and their business is criminal!

DEFINITELY CANCEL YOUR DEBIT CARD

ABSOLUTELY CANCEL YOUR DEBIT CARD. This is the first time I've heard of this place, but I wouldn't risk "trusting" them NOT to keep charging you.
Never use your debit card for anything you don't want possibly compromising the cash you have in the bank. OR give your banking information for automatic withdrawal. I would only use a debit card or auto withdrawal with utility companies, they don't seem to do this, as a rule. That's not always true, I do realize that!
I don't seem to hear of people having their debit cards compromised when using them at stores, and only once have I had a problem. I used my debit card for a fast-food sale, and it was run twice, can't remember why. But it was under $5, and I disputed it with the bank, and it worked out fine.
However, I have read that you should never use debit cards for high-priced items, even if you have the money in the bank, just due to the mysterious red tape banks seem to require to fix debit card problems. I don't know why it's such a problem to fix them, but it does always seem to be.
If you have a credit card, that is what you should use for any online purchases you make. It still doesn't prevent this kind of thing from happening, but YOUR CASH IS NOT AT RISK.
Ideally, a credit card that you use ONLY for online shopping, so that you can easily see your transactions without them being mixed up with day-to-day usage, is most helpful.
Credit card disputes are much easier to handle, because it's not compromising YOUR CASH.
If you can't get a credit card, then you might be best off avoiding online transactions. Your cash is at great risk, whenever you give someone access to your bank account. It's not worth it.

I was on the phone with these jokers for over an hour and a half night. Finally I was the next in line. Then after another long wait, a voice mail was what I got. Oh is was hot then!! I cussed them out and told them they were going to return my call and I am going to report them to my bank for fraud and I will get my $39 back! You know I will. Then to make sure I didnt agree to that amount, as I already knew I didn't. I went back on the site and did a mock inquiry about the business opportunity. Yes, as I thought, $2.97.
As I was leaving the site, without signing up of course, a Instant messege came on with a rep trying to encourage me to get the information for now only $1.87
I started tellin her that I wanted my money back and that I never got anyone to answer the phone. She just kept on coping and pasting script.
I finally told her that I was going to ripoffreport.com right then and file.
Then she finally responds and says. "OK Thank YOU"
Now, I am thinking that I need to get a new debit card as they may charge me no telling what anytime they wish to.
Anyone know?
