I recently transferred some of my domain names to Name.com because of their ad stating..."transfer now to extend your domain registration by 1 year" This is false advertising because they do not extend the registration by 1 year.

Domain registration and or renewals are for at least 1 year, so they are misleading people into thinking that you get an extended year. An extended year is an extended year.

Now that I have transferred 12 domains, they refuse extending the renewal date by 1 year, stating I am confused.

Here is a link to the screen capture that lured me in.

I am not a newbie here...I am a retired web designer, I am a domain investor and I am also a domain name reseller.  When I saw that I could extend my domains by an extra year...I decided that I could save a lot of money by transferring.  Little did I know I was dealing with bait and switch/fraud...deceptive business practices.

They also changed some settings to various domains that were built with an operational website and now those websites are no longer working.

Their customer service is lacking, it took them several days to respond to two written tickets and one phone call where they pushed me through to voice mail, so I couldn't talk with a "real" person.

When they did respond via email, they had no idea about the problems with the websites and they have no clue what is going on. I am so disgusted with this business and I feel they are fraudulent in their advertising.
