NameSecure aka Network Solutions, a Web.com Company, Ztomy.com ***Hijacked My Website, Stole Subdomains!*** Herndon, VA, Jacksonville, FL

I did business with NameSecure for years and never had a problem.  My CC information expired and my web domain was deactivated two days later.  I discovered they sold my domain to Network Solutions, and after researching the horror stories about that NS, decided to forego trying to get my domain back and simply altered my domain name and bought the addition five subdomains to protect it.  Since then, I received an email stating one of the subdomains was unavailable (as originally listed), and thought that was odd.  After further investigation, I discovered Namesecure is actually owned by Network Solutions.  Ugh.

I wish I would've done the research on this very, very, very slimy company.  Congress/ICANN/FTC seriously need to do something about these guys.  The accusations are plenty: registering domains queried in customer searches, 'stealing' subdomains, hijacking domains and demanding outrageous buy-back fees, holding customers hostage with the clientTransferProhibited protocol, parking ads on hijacked sites...

Somehow, Network Solutions, Web.com, Namesecure, New Venture Services and Ztomy.com (don't visit that site - google it and you'll get an eyeful) appear to be connected and working together.  My domain is now associated with all of the above companies and the Whois reports a company address listed in PA with connections to Laos.  Great.
