We saw an advertisement for National Grants Conferences for a 3 day event @ the Crowne Plaza Hotel Phoenix Airport for February 13th 14th & 15th of 2009 and decided that this might be the answer to uncovering all the necessary information needed in receiving a grant to start a business. We attended the workshop for 2 days and received a packet of all the membership services and course material on how to obtain grants, loans, and subsidies. The money we paid entitled us to 6 months of member support. When this period had lapsed, we paid $75.00 for an additional 3 months of support. It took them 3 weeks to successfully get us a simple e-mail explaining the process for faxing our proposal for review. This was merely a quick glance to see if the correct parts of the business plan were even in place. Apparently, $1000.00 provides very little personal guidance.
