In 2002 I paid over $200.00 for a lifetime membership. It included monthly magazines and annual free product give sways and free products to test and much more. I have not received any of the above privileges in years. Only received a pr of gloves and a clipper. The phone number doesn’t work.

NHGC - Lifetime Membership

I too paid over $200 for a LIFETIME Membership to NHGC. It was to include gardening tools, monthly magazine subscriptions and to be part of a product test group. I haven't received a publication in at least four years.

I wrote to them (their phone numbers are never answered or don't work) they responded saying that the company had moved to an "online" version of the magazine due to the demand for online use. I sit at a computer for 9+ hours a day with my job. As I explained to them, I didn't pay for an "online" membership I paid for a subscription, so that I can read my MAGAZINE at my discretion while sitting on my porch enjoying a cup of coffee or a cold beverage. I don't want to read about gardening on a computer.

They also changed their website to something called Scout which has NOTHING that I can find, to do with gardening. It's just been a scam for the lats 6-8 years and I am severely disappointed. I guess the LIFETIME membership meant the lifetime of the company, not MY lifetime....
