National Racing Services Single Mom Lost $511.60 For a Good Reason, Or So I Thought Marrero Louisiana

On June 25, 2008 I agreed to allow a representative, to come into my home to demonstrate "fire safety". Being a first time home buyer and single mother of two young boys, I thought I was making a good investment for my family.

Approximately 3 weeks ago, the representative, called me to inquire if I have received my shipment or not. After I told her that I had not, she said she would followup with the company and get back with me. I haven't heard from her since. I don't blame her for the scam. She was probably scammed herself. But her phone number is now disconnected and I would have appreciated at least a phone call from her letting me know. I usually check with the Better Business Bureau before I make any purchases from companies that I am not familiar with. The representative was no stranger to me and I trusted her. So I let my guard down.

I checked my bank account to see who signed the back of the check that I wrote to National Racing Services. "For Deposit Only" was written on the back of the check. No other identifiable information is available. There must be some way to track the thieves who did this.
