I have had it with NCO Financial Inc. I have been recieving numerous automated calls everyday for the last month. They are calling my cell phone so much that the call history is too numerous to list. I had no idea who they were until the other day (Jan.13th, 2012) when I recieved a letter in the mail from them. It was a hospital bill for over $4,000 that I filled out financial aid forms for and it was paid. The letter was dated for January 5th, 2012 so it was already 8 days old by the time it got to me. It has 3 different addresses on it and the phone number listed on it is just another of 500 (sarcastically speaking) other 800 numbers they have. It states that if I go to apply for a credit card etc. that my credit bureau report may be viewed? I havent viewed my credit report yet, but when I do, if they have went behind my back and snuck it on there, they better be ready to do battle. These people are scam artists with no valid address or telephone number to reach them. They have over a 1,000 complaints with the BBB and thats just in the one I checked out. Im sure theres way more. Also, on Justiadockets.com, theres approximatly 88 pages of lawsuits filed against them. People they are harrassing need to stop talking to them and file a complaint with the FTC and the consumer protection agency. This place is a very shady operation and they are just junk debt collectors. Also check out your dates with the original creditors. Get an exact date of when they reported your account to NCO and find out the date NCO reported it on your credit bureau report. You legally have 60 days to either dispute or request validation on a debt before it can be reported to the national credit bureau and they are required by law to make you aware of a debt you owe before it goes to the credit bureau so that you have a fair chance at making arrangements to pay it.
