I contacted New Life after seeing some Instagram Photos for patients that had gotten a BBL. I liked what I saw so I contacted New Life Cosmetics to discuss my particular wants. wishes and expectations. I was asked to send some photos of myself over, so I did. After reviewing my photos I was contacted by Mar of New Life Cosmetics and was told that I was definitely a candidate for the procedure, but should gain about 10-15 lbs and then I could expect great results.

After being made comfortable that my desired results could be achieved, I agreed to move forward with a consultation. I was told that being I was out of state, it wasn't really necessary to do an in person consultation and based on my photos as long as I gained 10-15 lbs I would be fine. I was also told that they were booking fast so if I wanted to secure a surgery date, I would have to pay a $500 deposit to hold the date. Again, based on everything I was told, I was comfortable moving forward. But, I thought the idea of never meeting my surgeon and getting to ask him all of the questions I wanted to would be absurd. Especially, when I googled the surgeons name "Dr. Hanabergh", the word "death" automatically comes up. Also, Dr. Llorente was accused of attempted murder for allegedly water-boarding his girlfriend. So, after reading these things, I wanted to do an in person consultation.

I booked my flight and flew to Miami to do the consultation. The facility was gross, the people were not very pleasant, but I wanted to meet the doctor. When I met the doctor, he was absolutely amazing. I really liked him a lot and was excited. But, when he went to examine me, he said "no way". You don't have enough fat. I told him that I had already gained 18 lbs so I was very surprised to hear this. He told me that I am not a candidate and that it would be a complete waste of my money to have the surgery. I asked him about my $500 deposit and he said..."you are not a candidate so of course they will have to refund your depost". I was upset that I couldn't get the procedure but I was at least comforted by the fact that I would get my deposit back.

A week later, I reached out to check on the status of my refund. I was told that the request was going into accounting. A week after that (2 weeks later), still no refund. I reached out again and reassured that the refund was coming. Another week went by and I reached out once more and expressed my frustration with it being over 3 weeks after the consultation and I still had no refund. I called the office looking to speak with the Office Manager. After a 20 minute hold, a woman got on the phone and said that the refund was being processed and that it would be in my bank account as long as it takes for my bank account to credit it back. Later on that evening, I got a text from one of the reps, Liang, who stated that the office manager wanted me to refer to the contract where the refund policy was displayed. The clause reads that consultations are free and the $500 deposit is for "pre-operative" costs, as well as financing costs. First off, I NEVER had any kind of "pre-operative" tests done and I was paying for the procedure in CASH so no financing was needed. All I ever did with New Life Cosmetics was an in person consulation, which is absolutely FREE. If you go to their website, they have "free consultations" very big on their site.

This experience with them has shown me that the other reviewers were right. There are many other people out there that have been ripped off by them too! I wish I would have discovered that sooner. Please stay away. All they care about is getting paid and could care LESS about their actual patients. Don't be scammed too. I was basically led to believe that I was a candidate and then told in person that I was not and then 3 different people told me I would get a refund, yet they failed to follow through on their promise.
