Stay FAR AWAY from the NEXIS CARD!! I purchased this card from the local Check Cashing place. This is BY FAR THE WORST prepaid card i have ever come across. I specifically asked these guys were there any FEES associated with this card! I was told the only fee is too RELOAD & UNLOAD the card. The card also DOES NOT come with any terms & conditions upfront so nothing was in writing either. Come to find out the FEES associated with the NEXIS CARD ARE UNHEARD OF AND THE MOST OUTRAGEOUS! It is almost like they are spending your money with you! These morons charge you $2.00 each CALL TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Customer only gets 1-3 FREE calls a month. What LEGIT company CHARGES TO CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! On top of that, They charge a FEE EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU USE THE CARD! Whether it is SIGNATURE OR PIN BASED. On top of that, They charge a FEE to WITHDRAW funds from the ATM!! Let's RECAP ... They CHARGE FEES FOR
- Reloading
-Unloading
-Using ATM
-Using the card PIN based
-Using the card Signature based
-Calling customer service
BASICALLY, YOU GET CHARGED FOR EVERY SINGLE THING YOU DO ... LITERALLY!
STAY FAR AWAY! THERE ARE PREPAIDS CARDS OUT THERE THAT ELIMANATE MORE THEN HALF THESE RIDICULOUS UNLAWFUL FEES! THESE GUYS DO NOTHING BUT HELP YOU SPEND YOUR MONEY WITHOUT TELLING YOU!! ONLY FEE IS TOO LOAD AND UNLOAD? YEAH RIGHT!

As said to Jim, before making a smart remark. Try reading and comprehending before sounding like a complete DUMB a*s. Yet you are reffering to being "EDUCATED". When dealing with PREPAID cards. Loading and Unloading does NOT mean transaction based. The rep was not talking about that. It had nothing to do with PIN based, ATM or signature transactions. Loading refers to adding money to the card at the Check Cashing location or MoneyGram. Unloading fee refered to taking money off ... AT THE LOCATIONS just mentioned MORON.
Speaking of "EDUCATED". Any "EDUCATED" person knows, An ATM fee is already charged by the ATM as well as your bank. Prepaid or not. That fee shows up as well and is normal. Which was not even mentioned in the report. So as i said the "UNLOAD & LOAD" fee has nothing to with what your talking about. DUMB A**. Get out of here.

Just wondering, what does that have to do with anything? As stated, you do NOT receive terms & conditions when purchasing the card. So the only word to go off of is the actual representative which stated the only fees were to LOAD & UNLOAD when specifically asked. The card was already used and fees were already charged by the time i setup an online account and was able to view cardholder agreement. So next time you make a smart remark, try reading and comprehending what was said first.

You claim you have no idea as to the fee structure. Why is it that less than one minute ago I was able to go to their website and click on "CARDHOLDER AGREEMENT" and find the complete disclosure statement regarding fees, and I don't even have one of their cards???

I really wonder where you went to school and perhaps that is where the real "RipOff" lies.
After all they stated that there were fees to LOAD and UNLOAD the card. Well I don't know about you but to most even semi-educated people "UNLOAD" means to take off or remove.
Well this may be a shock to you, but every time you use your card for a Signature or PIN based transaction you are removing funds from the account. So yes, they told you exactly what was going to happen. As for the calls to Customer Service, that has nothing to do with USING the card. In fact that fee only kicks in after a certain amount of calls a month.
As for not being given any terms in writing(so you say). If that was such as big thing for you, why did you get the card?
