Back in August 2000 I too paid $29.95 to become a part of this service only to NEVER receive anything. I email the company several times with no response. I called and left messages but never received a returned call. I wrote letters but they were returned to me. I chalked it up to a bad experience.
Then this past March (2003) they ran the same check number through again for another $29.95. I have filed a complaint within my bank and they are working on getting the money back to me and I am urging them to contact the bank of NHES to advise them that these people are scammers. My bank seems to think so also & are working on the situation from my end. I have also placed a stop payment on that check number so they can't run it through yet one more time! These people are just lazy scammers who have nothing better to do other than prey on people who are honestly trying to make a living at home. Shame!

All Better Business Bureau case files regarding "National Home Employment Services" have been turned over to the Illinois Attorney General's Office--phone: 217-782-1090. If you are interested in helping other victims of this specific fraud, you may want to contact them. Your bank may also have valuable information to offer to this case. If there was a fee for that "stop-payment", placed on your check, you may qualify for a refund, along with the $39 entry fee. It's good to know your bank supports you. Another number for more options or research is the National Check Fraud Hotline: 1-843-571-2143.
Their site is: http://www.ckfraud.org. They might have information, which could be beneficial for you and your bank. It looks like you have the situation under control. Just wanted to post this information for others, who were ripped-off by this company.
