NJ Gas and Electric Supply Co. called soliciting new business from me. For me switching from Atlantic City Electric Co. for my electric supply to my home, they promised lower competitive rates for the same usage.The additional selling point was that the electricity supplied would come from wind power and not coal. The two bills I've gotten are 5 times my average. Their switching efforts were a mass marketing and campaign and therefore, many others have similar complaints.
Somehow, the NJPUC allowed NJGandE to agree that ACECo. must collect their charge. The latter is threatening to cut off service if I dont pay immediately a bill that is 5 times my regular bill for the same usage. Very hard to believe.
